Slowly we make our way out of the closet, quietly we walk down the hospital’s hallway, we come to an exit door where I push repeatedly to open the lock doors. taking a good look outside the window of the doors I read a sign that says Mental ward. “oh shit Craig jr. we in trouble.”

Part 5

Craig jr. and I stand at the lock doors of a mental hospital letting the reality of hell sit in. Moments later a white gentleman wearing a lab coat and eyeglasses walks up with a warm smile. “You guys alright,” the stranger asks? Relieved to have help we start to explain our ordeal, halfway into the story the Doctor tells us to come into his office where we found comfort in his welcoming office. Dr. Stranger seems to be very bothered by our story. He asks us to give him a minute. Dr. Stranger stands up rubbing his head and pulling his hair then wide-eyed he shouts, “Who sent ya’ll”. Craig Jr. stands and asks, “Is everything okay?” Dr. Stranger turns and shouts again “Get ya’ll black asses out of here!” Personally I don’t have to be told twice, but I guess Craig jr. felt he wanted a second warning so I left his ass to be told twice.

Running out the office door I run into the angry nurse who urine specimens were drunk by Mr. Big Ass Bully. She stands looking irritated at Dr. Stranger and yells “why you in your room and why do you have on that lab coat? She looks at me and says “I’m so sick of his ass. He is always role playing like he’s a Doctor.” Puzzled I ask, “He isn’t a doctor?” the nurse laughs and says “No just another crazy ass patient.” “Can you give me a minute with him.” Closing the door with the nurse and Craig jr. outside awaiting my que that the ass kicking is over. As I slowly walk up to the crazy ass fake Doctor to place my foot in his ass is when I learned how strong a crazy person is. SMH as I try to get this damn fool off my back………

Due to Craig jr. receiving stitches from his encounter with a bull we find ourselves walking trough a hospital. Exiting the elevator we come face-to-face with a big ass bully who asks can we spare some change? “Hell naw we-“ and that’s all I could get out my mouth because Mr. Big ass bully pushes me so hard that my body parts had a conversation with each ot…her. My chest creamed “SHIT”, my back as…ked “what the-,” my hands shouted “we ain’t in it,” my legs sent a message to my brain that the mouth done got us into some shit again. The brain hollered “Run NIGGA!” uncontrollably my body ran off leaving Craig jr. alone with the bully.

An hour later Craig jr. return to the ER waiting-room where I awaited his arrival. Examining Craig jr. I tell him “Don’t trip yo eye won’t stay black for long, ain’t shit you need to see anyway.” Observing the room I happened to see two shot glasses with the liquor just waiting to be consumed. We sit making a toss to a better day, I be damn here comes Mr. Big ass Bully snatching our shots and downing them before we could even say a word. The big ass bully slam the two empty containers onto the counter just as a nurse walks up and angrily asks what happen to her two urine specimen. Right now Craig jr. and I are hidden in a maintenance closet “can somebody come get us.”

After the concert ordeal me and Craig jr. is riding back towards the city on a long country road. Passing farm after farm Craig jr. says “man, I wish i could get some fresh milk from one of these cows.” Thinking this would be a way of smoothing things over from the fallout at the event, I pull the car over. Standing at a wooden fence I tell Craig Jr. “help yourself to all the milk you want, you just have to go and milk the cow.” Making his way over to the cow the framer walks up and says “howdy bud, can I help ya’ll with anythan?” I responded “well, my son would like some of your fresh milk if thats alright with you.” Excitement comes over the Farmer’s face as he looks at Craig jr. bending down preparing to retrieve some milk, the farmers utters “sure he can have all the milk he can get, but this is going to be quite entertaining.” I ask “why you say that.” The Farmer says because that’s a bull.” I yell “Don’t touch that thing….”

Me and my son Craig Jr. were riding on our way to an event where he is schedule to rap, after beging for hours he reluctantly agree to let me be his hype-man for this one night only. Entering the arena the promoter is outrage because the only mic that the facility has just broke. I say” don’t trip I got a mic in the car for us,” turning to walk away I hear the Promoter utter “who the hell is us?”. Returning with the mic Craig Jr. takes it from my hand and walk on stage and start performing as the Promoter steps in front of me blocking the stage. Strangely I look at him as he inform me that I can’t go on stage. The thought of this being my only chance to be my sons hype-man enraged me as I pushed my way pass the Promoter. I hear him yell “The crowd don’t know you,” followed by him screaming “security!” I rush the stage grabbing the mic and announce “I’m Craig Smith the Hype-man this is my mic and it’s coming with me, ya’ll can kiss my ass if you don’t like it………I never heard such booing in my life….as i leave the stage my son yelled to me “but I’m the rapper.” I yelled back “to bad you ain’t a Hype-man with a mic.” followed by more boos, I yelled in the mic “Boo yo mama’s.”

It’s regarded by many as my best work to date and I couldn’t agree more. This project comes out of my own experience of pain and loss; a suicide attempt and living with depression. It’s meant to be a collection of songs people in similar situations can relate to in hopes that they (YOU) will realize and understand that you’re not alone in feeling how you are feeling.

First of all, I’d like to thank you all for helping me spread my music to many people across the world. I have really enjoyed the ride so far.
